Make the Most Out of Kitchen Cabinet Islands

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

I am not someone who enjoys clutter. Everyone is amazed by how little junk I have around my house! Dust-collectors simply are not my cup of tea so I tend to have extra storage space. There are always a few shelves that are empty in each one of my closets and, when I installed my new kitchen cabinet island, I knew that I would hardly need to use it at all. Well, that assumption was wrong. The kitchen cabinets I currently have are in awkward places around my kitchen. The only space large enough for my pots were on the opposite side of the room and all my Tupperware had to be in the cabinet near the sink instead of the refrigerator. I didn’t realized how inconvenient is all was until my kitchen cabinet island arrived.

Since my stone kitchen cabinet was in the center of my kitchen, I decided to move all my pots and Tupperware into these cabinets. Now everything is so much easier to access and I no longer need to walk back and forth constantly just to cook one meal. So, now, not only do I not have any clutter, I am also being smart about the cabinets I do use! Make the most out of your kitchen islands today!

Get Creative with Your Kitchen Island Table

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Remember when you were younger and you had fun creating secret hiding places, building forts, and turning your living room into a pirate war-zone? Your imagination does not disappear when you become adult. On the contrary, it becomes stronger! Have you purchased a kitchen island table recently? These tables are great if you do not have much counter space or need some extra storage shelves. I recently purchased my own kitchen island table and absolutely love it. Trust me, it was one of the best investments I have ever made.

I use my kitchen island table for preparing that night’s meals but it is much more useful than that. Since it is portable, it has become my everything table! The kids come into the kitchen after dinner and I help them with homework as I wash the dishes. I am also someone who loves to throw cocktail parties so I place a clean, white tablecloth over my kitchen island table and it becomes my dessert display. Needless to say, it’s the most popular table in the room! If you are interested in your own kitchen island table or butcher block, just check out the great discounts on kitchenislandshop.com today!

Gourmet Kitchen Islands for Serious Home Chefs

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Have you ever been accused of banishing family members from the kitchen while you’re trying to prepare a dinner feast? Or has it been mentioned that you might be a bit of a "foodie" or food snob? Don’t fret, you’re not alone in your love of superior tasting food and cooking practices. You’re a serious home chef with a love for gourmet food, and there’s nothing wrong with that! You might be surprised at how many people love to indulge in their own gourmet practices at home, because cooking is something we need to do, but it’s also something that can be very relaxing and fun if we become real "foodies". Of course, no serious home chef’s home is complete without gourmet kitchen islands to help prepare those fabulous feasts.

You probably have a lot of fancy and fun cooking ware to help you make your culinary masterpieces, but you may notice that after a while you start running out of room to put them all away. This is where a gourmet island or kitchen prep center can come to the rescue! Not only will your kitchen island give you a great food preparation surface and extra counter space, but you can get one with cabinets underneath to store all your gourmet cooking tools. That way they will be easily accessible and not laying around everywhere, taking up valuable counter space or making your kitchen seem cluttered.

Go ahead and get that gourmet kitchen island to transform your kitchen into a serious home chef’s paradise. You’ll find it will become your best food preparation helper since you always shoo everyone else out of the kitchen when you’re preparing your feasts!

Kitchen Carts are Easy to Scoot Out of the Way

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

I like to entertain friends and family at my house, but the truth is that I don’t have the hugest house with one of those very open floor plans. I knew I could really use something to help with the food preparation and serving at my get togethers, but I wasn’t sure what the solution could be for this little snafu. That’s when I found kitchen carts on KitchenIslandShop.com! Kitchen carts are a great solution for the space-challenged out there, like myself. They come on wheels, so I can bring it in the kitchen if I need extra counter space for making appetizers or drinks, and scoot it out to the dining room to act as a serving table for my goodies.

The best part about kitchen carts is that they are like mobile kitchen islands. I can bring it in the kitchen or dining room if I need it, or even wheel it outside if I’m having a backyard party! When I’m not entertaining however, I can scoot it out the way in the living room or in any little nook where it’s out of the walkways. So anytime I’m not using my fantastically versatile little cart, I just shuffle it away to a nook I have between the kitchen and dining room, and bring it out at party time. Thank you Kitchen Island Shop!

I Need an All Business Wood Butcher Block for my Kitchen

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

There is nothing I love more than getting down to to business in my kitchen and creating tasty and fun culinary delights! Of course, cooking is a lot more fun if you have the proper tools for the job, such as a good set of knives, a rolling pin, a blender that really works, etc. The next piece of equipment I would really like to get for my kitchen adventures is an all business wood butcher block. I’m not talking about some wimpy little plastic or even wood cutting board, I’m talking about an entire table dedicated to food preparation. Butcher blocks can be made into tables that you use in the center of the room like a kitchen island.

I don’t have a ton of floor space in my kitchen, so I prefer the butcher block table to the traditional kitchen island. A table gives me a little more floor space to walk around on, and I don’t really need the extra storage in the cabinets of a kitchen island. When my husband had finally heard enough about my lack of cutting and food preparation space, he hopped online and found the perfect butcher block table for me on KitchenIslandShop.com. I couldn’t be happier with my new wood butcher block, and it has truly become the most used and helpful kitchen tool I have.

A White Kitchen Island with Natural Top for My Unique Home

Friday, September 19th, 2008

My home is my castle, and there’s nothing I love more than finding the just the right pieces of furniture and decor to create my interior design vision. I’m no professional designer of course, but I know what I like and I have gone with a very "Cape Cod" kind of style when decorating my house. So when it was time to upgrade my kitchen, I knew exactly the kind of kitchen island I wanted to put in there. I wanted a white kitchen island with a natural top, to keep the crisp clean look I worked so hard to achieve. The natural wood top was perfect for as a food preparation helper as well, because I can use it to chop up vegetables, meat, or bread for dinner and wipe it clean easily.

Now, I may know what I like for my interior design, but I’m also no Rockefeller, so I have to decorate within a budget. One of the best resources for those of us trying to improve our homes is online. I found KitchenIslandShop.com was the best place to get my new butcher block kitchen island. They had not only a great selection so I could find just what I wanted, but they had great discount prices, no sales tax, and FREE shipping! If any of my friends decide to upgrade their kitchens, I will definitely let them in the best kept secret on the web, Kitchen Island Shop!

Kitchen Chopping Block Islands for Easy Cooking

Friday, September 19th, 2008

I love food. I mean it, I really do. Not only do I love food, but I love testing and trying new recipes all the time to find better and better tasting meals. With my gourmet bent, it’s hard to work on a little plastic or small wooden cutting board all the time. So for Christmas my wife went shopping for kitchen chopping block islands, because she knew I would use it more than another tie or wallet. Not to mention that she enjoys my culinary creations, and wants to keep me happy in the kitchen!

She really hit the jackpot at Christmas with her thoughtful gift. She bought a beautiful kitchen cart with a wooden butcher block top. I positioned my mobile kitchen island in the center of the kitchen, but it’s nice to move it around, at times when I need more space to manuever a delicate souffle out of the oven. I couldn’t believe the great price that she ended up getting the cart for either, because she bought it online at Kitchen Island Shop and paid no sales tax or shipping for it. It’s nice to know that she keeps a good eye on our bottom line while I keep an eye on our good eating habits and happy meals.
