Living in a small apartment, I don’t have much room for alot of regular sized fixtures but I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have my kitchen island cart. When storage is something that can’t be taken for granted, kitchen island carts are the best solution to a space-related problem. The best thing about kitchen island carts is that they are so mobile and modular.
If you need the walking space in your kitchen, you can simply move your cart to another room. Even if you have no intentions of using a kitchen island, you can use a kitchen island cart to act as a sort of extended shelf where you can store your cookbooks and other odds and ends. Since it’s movable, you can also use it as you wish–when you desire. For example, if you want extra countertop space to chop your vegetables, you can move it towards your chopping block. You can also use it as a work table for those times you don’t have enough room for all your baking amenities.
Additionally, who says that kitchen island carts have to remain in the kitchen? You can use it as a serving table in the dining room when you have formal dinner parties. Simply place the food on top, and push it around to each person seated along the table as you would in a restaurant. I had a "fancy" dinner once and enlisted the help of my younger brother to act as the waiter pushing the cart around. He had a kick out of pretending to be a waiter at a five-star restaurant while we had fun enjoying ourselves in our fake jewelry and feathers.
